Embedded Internet Toolkit (EITK)
The Embedded Internet Toolkit (EITK) is
a collection of applications for Internet
enabling DOS-based embedded and hand-
held computers. The EITK includes a
TCP/IP stack, PPP driver, modem dialer
and Internet client applications for FTP,
SMTP, POP3, HTTP and LPR protocols.
Each may be used in stand-alone
command line mode or integrated in to
your application using the libraries
supplied in the System Developers Kit
The 2net EITK makes it as easy as it ever
will be to add Internet capability to
existing or new systems.
Internet Applications
Here are brief details of the applications
that make up the EITK.
FTP Client
Exchange files with remote FTP servers
from the command line or under program
control.
SMTP Client
Send messages to predefined mailboxes to
alert people of critical events. Messages
may include binary attachments to provide
extra information such as an image from a
web cam or a log of the most recent data.
HTTP Client
Send information to a CGI process
running on a web server and download
updates and configuration information
from a remote web server.
System Developer's Kit
The SDK provides all the information you
need to create your own Internet enabled
applications. It contains:
- 'C' header and library files compatible with Microsoft and Borland 16 bit 'C' compilers
- Sample code
- Online documentation in Adobe Acrobat format
